Building with Ice Cream (Cups)! In-Person
What happens when two nerdy YA librarians supply a roomful of sugared-up kids with hundreds of tiny cups and minimal direction? That's right, kids. Miss Becky and Miss Christina are assembling the largest group of non-musically inclined teenagers to perform a 3 hour rendition of Cups/When I'm Gone.
Just kidding! You didn’t really think we would refer to 3 long hours of tuneless teens flipping a bunch of flipping cups as a YA program, did you? That’s too savage even by our standards…and we’re librarians!
Instead we’re taking our plenteousness of plastics and creating a bit of Minecraft IRL. Teens will build ginormous towers, fierce castles, impenetrable villages, crazy labyrinths and MORE! The only limitation is your imagination! And the ceiling!
Prizes will be awarded in a variety of categories and these aforementioned categories are TBD. I mean, we could go on and on about all the ridiculously cool prizes we have for things like "Tallest Tower" or "Most Stable Stable", but we don’t want to bog you down with boring details and corny alliteration.
