Course:  Java Programming Basics

Description:  Java is a popular and beginner-friendly programming language that has a variety of uses! In this course, we will learn how computers make decisions and will go through the basics of programming and its fundamental concepts such as variables, statements, structure and more. No prior programming experience required!

This is a guided MOOC. Think of a guided MOOC as a kind of learning circle, a facilitated study group for people who want to take online courses – with other people in a face-to-face setting. A reference librarian will be  present to help support your learning experience.  Why sign-up? You’ll get a support group for learning, access to new studying strategies, dedicated weekly study time and space, a network of co-learners, and the ability to learn in a  low pressure environment.
