Book Talk: Stories from an Empty Nest

Book Talk: Stories from an Empty Nest In-Person

Join Rhode Island–born writer and Jamestown resident Rita Lussier for an engaging book talk about her debut memoir, Stories from an Empty Nest.  Known for her long-running Providence Journal column, For the Moment, Rita shares a warm, insightful collection of personal vignettes on the transition to an “empty nest.”  Through lively conversation, the author explores how parents can navigate this life stage—rekindling marriages and friendships, rebooting careers, and making choices about homes, finances, and future plans—while balancing the evolving needs of adult children and aging parents.

The in-conversation format with Irene Glasser has sparked heartfelt stories and reflections at libraries and bookstores throughout the region, making this an event you won’t want to miss.
