AARP Tax Aide, Free Tax Preparation in Newport County Starts in February
The AARP Tax Aide program will again be offering free tax preparation help at nine sites in Newport County beginning in February. It is not necessary to be an AARP member to use these services. Help is free to low and moderate-income people of all ages.
The AARP Tax Aide program is the nations largest free tax preparation service. All tax preparers pass an IRS certification test each year. They are qualified to handle most common IRS and state schedules and forms. Complex returns should be taken to paid preparers. All returns are electronically filed for fast refund. Appointment and contact information follows. Masks may be required.
If you can, please pick up the required Intake Form at the site and complete before your appointment.
