Newport Public Library Finance Committee and Board of Trustees In-Person
The Board of Trustees of the Newport Public Library meets ten times a year (there are no meetings in August or December) on the third Thursday of the month. Scheduling conflicts may change the date(s) of some meetings to ensure that a quorum will be present. The Finance Committee of the Board meets prior to the meeting of the full Board. Members of the Public are cordially invited to attend. If you have a topic that you would like the Committee or the Board to discuss you must notify Library Administration at least 72 hours before the meeting in order to comply with the Open Meetings Act. Rhode Island General Laws, Title 42, Chapter 46.
